The Organic Farm

Erve Woolderink is an organic farm in the hamlet Rectum, located between Rijssen, Wierden and Enter. Since 1400 this farmyard has been occupied by the Woolderink family. In 1797 the farm was in a very bad state. It was decided to demolish the 500 year old farm and build a new farm. The keystone above the farm doors of the current farm proudly present the date: in 1798 the new Erve Woolderink was founded

Nowadays Erve Woolderink consists of a wonderful farm with a beautiful shed, both have been included in the list of national monuments. The company covers 35 hectare, of which 5 hectare is forest. The scenic landscape of Twente with its wooded banks, age-old trees and always surprising vistas forms a perfect natural setting for the historic appearance of Erve Woolderink.

A herd of Aberdeen Angus cows grazes in the meadow. This original Scottish breed is one of the few herds grazing in the Netherlands. Cows and calves of this friendly breed graze together in the fields and are stabled in winter.

You can spend the night in the Regge-Haystacks of Erve Woolderink. They are situated on an unique location, allowing a nice view of hares and deer from your terrace.

The haystacks are situated near the Regge, an area which offers plenty of possibilities: Canoeing, walking, angling or cycling over the new cycle track along the Regge. Erve Woolderink is situated on a central location between Rijssen, Wierden and Enter offering all kinds of possibilities and activities. Spend the night on this farm in the province of Twente and experience country life yourself!
